Terms of Use

These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and DateSure. Please read them carefully.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DateSure (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms supplement any terms imposed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Where there is a conflict, those store terms may apply to billing and distribution.

FCRA Disclaimer; No Professional Use

DateSure is not a consumer reporting agency, and information provided by the Service is not a consumer report as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You may not use the Service for employment, tenant, insurance, or credit decisions, or for any purpose that requires FCRA compliance.

  • Public context only; not a background check
  • No eligibility decisions (employment, housing, insurance, credit)
  • Use at your own risk; verify independently

Definitions

  • "Service" means the DateSure app and website, features, and related services.
  • "You" or "User" means the individual using the Service.
  • "Content" means information surfaced by or submitted to the Service, including links to third-party sites.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to the Service

We may add, remove, or modify features, or suspend the Service (in whole or part), with or without notice. We are not liable for any change, suspension, or discontinuation.

The Service

DateSure helps you discover and organize publicly available links related to a person's name (for example, social profiles, websites, and news mentions). The Service does not access private accounts or content behind logins. Results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

  • Public sources only: We reference content available on the public web and respect platforms' terms.
  • AI Safety Summary: AI-generated summaries are best-effort and may contain errors. Always verify independently.
  • Dating indicators: When visible publicly, we may note the presence of dating profiles (e.g., Hinge/Tinder/Bumble). These are inferred from public signals and may be incorrect.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Harassment, doxxing, stalking, discrimination, or other unlawful activity
  • Attempting to bypass rate limits, access controls, or security
  • Automated scraping or bulk harvesting beyond normal product use
  • Using results to intimidate, threaten, or violate others' rights
  • Targeting minors or sensitive groups; any illegal or harmful conduct

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations or suspected fraud/abuse.

Accounts and Deletion

The Service may create an anonymous or user account to enable functionality. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Premium features may be offered via in-app purchase or subscription. Pricing and terms are disclosed in-app. Purchases are processed by the applicable app store; their policies govern billing, renewals, trials, and refunds.

  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Manage: Manage or cancel your subscription in device settings (> Subscriptions on iOS).
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled by the store per its policies.

Trials and Promotions

Any free trial or promotional offer is subject to the terms presented at sign-up and may change or end at our discretion.

Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services. We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for their practices. Review their terms and policies.

Platform Terms Compliance

We are not affiliated with Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, or other platforms. We reference public links only and comply with each platform's terms. We do not access private data or circumvent technical restrictions.

  • Open official, publicly available links only
  • Respect rate limits and access controls; no scraping where forbidden
  • Follow platform brand guidelines; avoid misuse of logos or marks

User Content and Feedback

If you submit content or feedback, you grant DateSure a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, and display it for operating and improving the Service. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

License and Restrictions

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Use any automated means to access or collect data beyond normal product use
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written consent

Intellectual Property

The Service and all related materials (excluding third-party content) are owned by DateSure or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

Logos and trademarks may be the property of their respective owners. Use of third-party marks must follow official brand guidelines.

Disclaimers

  • As-is: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
  • No guarantee of accuracy: Public data and AI outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
  • No professional advice: The Service does not provide legal, safety, or professional advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateSure and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DateSure and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Exclusive venue for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration will be the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.

Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Waiver

If a dispute arises, contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, unless prohibited by law. You waive participation in class actions or class-wide relief.

Export Compliance

You must comply with all applicable export and sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in a restricted country and are not on any government list of prohibited parties.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, labor disputes, or internet failures.

Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Severability; Waiver; Entire Agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and DateSure regarding the Service.

DMCA Takedown Policy (US)

If you believe content surfaced by the Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to support@datesure.app with: (1) your contact info; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) the allegedly infringing material and its location; (4) a statement of good-faith belief; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury; and (6) your signature. We may remove the content and, when appropriate, terminate repeat infringers. We may designate a DMCA agent and update this section with registration details.

In-App Purchases (Apple/Google)

On iOS, purchases are billed to your Apple ID and auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in Settings > Subscriptions. A Restore Purchases option is available in-app. On Android, purchases are billed via Google Play with similar renewal and management terms.

No external purchase links are provided in the iOS app. Pricing, period, trial terms (if any), and renewal details are disclosed on the paywall.

Security and Retention

We use HTTPS and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. We restrict internal access and rotate secrets. We keep logs and lightweight history for limited periods and delete upon request, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Availability; Jurisdiction

The Service may not be available in all locations and is not available where prohibited by law. These Terms are governed by the laws stated above.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, may provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
